We went along to this on Sunday along with VO.

Cam walked us completely around the track, 6 hrs. My aching feet. VO looked pretty knackered by the end of the day too.

It was a good day. Vantage points are scarce but then it is a street circuit. I think if we go next year we might get a grandstand over on the chicane at Gate 3.

The problem is you can only buy grandstand passes for all three days, not a single day, which makes it expensive.

Cam will upload his videos later once he finishes editing them smile01.gif

You take some nice pics smarty pants

I do like this one. You gotta love a woman that considers the male of the species thumb.gif

Yep I'm with you on what we do next year if we go. The grand stand there seemed to cop most of the action

I tried to knock 4 of these off for you Madvet and Boschie but he just wouldn't walk away from the bench long enough

Hey Boschie, this looks vaguely familiar......

Hi guys.

The video is done.

As was pointed out I walked them all around the track. This video should give you an idea of the different view points you get.

I suppose that with a street circuit you are going to see the race from behind a meshed fence, but it would be nice if on the exciting areas, i.e. the bends, that they didn't have the view blocked by bloody signs on the fence. It's not half obvious that their main concern is sponsors for their TV ratings/coverage. Once again big business wins and the small guy, us, looses.

But aside from that it was good day. At least we are pretty sure where we would sit next time if we go.

Just under 8 minutes of video for 6 hours walking. I think I'm going to get shot by two people. willy_nilly.gif

You two needed the exercise anyway bolt.gif

Reminds me of the street circuit we had in Canberra, you don't get to see much track side but enjoy the atmosphere.
As for watching the actual race, you would be better off watching it on your TV relaxing on your couch. (As I did) smile01.gif

I think I'm inclined to agree with you. I can say that we've done it now but I think next year will be a home view, unless they change it that you can buy grandstand seats for a day only then we might go.

It's why I don't mind the drags. It all happens right there in front of you. Mind you, Oran Park and Wakefield are good to watch live but poor Oran is about to bite the dust.

Speaking of which, you coming up to watch Boschie in January at Oran?
