1972 Dodge Charger Rallye Coupe 440. Factory triple black finish, Believed to be a One Of One, Matching numbers.

I just love Air Grabber Hoods....

Original matching A833 4 speed incl. Pistol grip shifter the very rare super track pack option incl. Dana 60 rear end, also features power windows, power headlights, power disc brakes, power steering and the n96 ram charger hood scoop (which I believe was not supposed to be available in 72').

In 1972 the muscle car era was winding down and hi performance was becoming a dirty word and with that in mind the 7 r/t was looking like it was going to be the last of the real hi-po chargers and the r/t logo was finished at the end of the model year. Fortunately 72' rolled along and the 440 was retained but now in a charger "rallye" but gone was the six pack option and grabber hood scoop (or so the brochures said) but a few 72's snuck through with the leftover performance options available in the 71' r/t's and this car is one of them.

Car is fully documented with build sheet, window sticker and all options are listed on the 2a original fender tags affixed to the inner guard. It is also documented by Galen Govier and is in the official Chrysler registry.

And yes I still have Priscilla. Will never ever part with her. biggrin.gif

The things a man will buy just to have a glove box.

Congrats on your new purchase Cam, that's one hell of a car.
Love the hide away headlights and air grabber hood, very tough.

Yep if it wasn't for the air grabber I probably would not have bought it.

Once I pick it up and do some local cruising in it I'll have to grab VO and come down for a cruise.

It has two little rust spots that need fixing but I'll get them done while I'm down in Victoria later this year
