Theo Jansen is a kinetic sculptor and artist living in Holland and he spends his days creating life out of PVC pipe and fabric.

You've seen inventors, but I'd bet you haven't seen a kinetic sculptor who can pull of machines like Jansen.

In this short video profile from the BBC, Jansen talks about creating Animaris Siamesis, a big insect-looking structure that moves on its own entirely under the power of wind.

His wind creatures that have evolved over time and the designs have been modified to harness the power of the wind more efficiently, and so the creatures can walk with life-like movement.

It wont break no 1/4 mile record but I reckon it's shit hot
